WCCCM Mission
One of our students once described college as "I was really good at swimming in the kiddie pool, but now I am sinking in the ocean".
We believe that all our college students are capable of standing on their own as long as they can find their foundation. Many however, are overwhelmed with the stresses of being away from home for the first time, finding their classes, doing their homework, making money in a part-time job, and not neglecting their friends.
Our goal is to help these students find that foundation in Christ.
We do this by surrounding the students with a network of people that believe in them and who can help them reflect on the important things of life through a filter of God's love.
Understanding that every student has individual needs, we disciple them each in unique ways.
Our main group meets on Sunday nights. It is geared towards reflection and prayer. We also have small groups that focus on the needs of the students - including a weekly Bible study.
Our focus is letting students find the path, not forcing them down it. We do this by surrounding them with an "extended family". This is a group of loving people who use their time and talents to meet the needs of these students. They share their stories and guide the students in thinking through their best options - all through a filter of Scripture and faith.
